2. Casting for Audiobook - FILLED
Flora, the daughter in the story, has a gentle Scottish dialect and, for the purposes of the audio, needs to be more the voice of a child (early-mid teens), rather than adult (mid-late teens). The story is a poetic tale and it is important to respect the cadence and the AAB CCB rhyme scheme. There are only 12 lines, totalling 154 words. Anyone wishing to apply for the role is invited to provide a recorded voice sample of the following lines as if spoken by Flora: "To one and all, this casting call is searching for a voice, So, time to shine, let's hope that mine will be the perfect choice!" 1. Illustrator for future Edition
Prior to the arrival of AI, Jonathan (the Author) had reached out to illustrators to provide the images for STUFF. The illustrators best suited were all working on other projects and, while waiting, AI arrived at speed on the scene. Despite the impactful outcome of the illustrations for the book, we are nevertheless keen to create an organic version of the story with hand-drawn imagery. We invite illustrators to submit a couple of sketches showing their interpretation of one or two of the characters in the story. The rules are simple: a) the sketches must be entirely your own work and b) should depict how you imagine the characters (ie. not copied from the existing images in the book). Please submit by uploading the images in PDF format. There is no guarantee of work being offered and your patience while waiting for a response is much appreciated. Thank you.
